I Want My Jane Austen!

Whatever you love, or think you are a complete fanatic about, I can guarantee you can find someone online who is more "into" it than you are (or ever wanted to be).

Now, I LOVE Pride and Prejudice just as much as any other girl, but on YouTube I have found there are people who have devoted an enormously insane amount of time and effort into making these sweet "little films" from clips of the various P&P (FYI-that's what it's called among fans--P&P) movies.

These "Fanvideos" are MTV-style music videos staring some of my favorite "stars" of the 1800's. They are huge on YouTube and I really enjoy watching them. This one is THE most viewed...

Some are insanely creative and deeply moving. Sure, you have to be kind of a hopeless romantic and a little sappy (guilty) but, if you love being manipulated into feeling amorous by torrid music, period costume, and chivalrous men, these are guaranteed make you swoon.

"Lotjeknorrepotje", Lotte to her YouTube subscribers, is my favorite and the most talented creator of "FanVideos" in my opinion. She has made 32 of them ( A Beautiful Mind, Persuasion, Becoming Jane being some of her movies of choice). See every last one here. From what I can gather she lives in the Netherlands and when the sun isn't shining there she is making these movies. Whatever her story is, I appreciate that she is probably sacrificing her social life so we can say, "Isn't that clever."
